Many readers told us that "The Sacrifice of the Mass" was their favorite post on These Stone Walls, and so I chose this two-part post for readers to re-visit. It tells a very important story about the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of every Catholic, and the heartbreak of losing sight of the True Presence of Christ in our Church.I consider “The Sacrifice of the Mass” to be my most important post on These Stone Walls, and one I would like every new reader to see and others to see again. It's a story of how the Presence of Christ can bring light into the darkest corners of our existence if our own priorities become clear to us. It's the story of how I came to realize that my struggle for freedom and justice and truth was futile unless I first struggled to restore what was most essential in my life: The Eucharist, and The Sacrifice of the Mass. Please click here to visit The Sacrifice of the Mass Part 1 and Part 2.
